A number of fabric houses have supported Dernier Cri gone mobile and are happy to be associated with my new virtual shop.
I thought you might like to know what they are up to and what ranges I find particularly fresh and attractive.
Among the latest from Hemptech is the Fitzroy range that draws from French toile art but features Australasian themes such as mustering and dog trailing on 56% linen/44% cotton cloth, natural fibres that are ideal for window treatments and pillows.
I went to Steward Island for the first time this January and particularly loved Ulva Island’s abundant birdlife. Thus I find the Darling Fantails range, which comes in five colourways, appealing.
You can view these two options and the company’s other new releases at www.hemptech.co.nz.
I am a fan of natural washed linens for cushions and upholstery, so I was delighted to see the new Ipanema range from Warwick. It comes in sixteen different patterns/shades and it is well worth visiting www.warwick.co.nz to see it. If you are interested in my custom made soft furniture covered in Ipanema, or just want to recover an old piece, call me on 027 447 8035 so I can calculate the meterage and quote.
The new look, slightly edgy Romo range, from Senceca, is one of my favorites. Go to www.seneca.co.nz or directly to www.romo.com to click on latest collections and you will see how informative and exciting virtual shopping with Dernier Cri can be. If you are feeling bold, check out the Melbury range.
When I come to your place I will show you how virtual shopping can work for you. Meanwhile go to www.jamesdunlop.co.nz and click on Zinc to let your imagination run riot. It is as they say “a sensational fabric brand that is strong, tactile and urban.”
Now that you have the idea go to www.textilia.co.nz, click on indent fabrics and then Sanderson or go directly to www.sanderson-uk.com. If you think Sanderson traditional/stodgy have a look at Laszlo velvetsyou’re in for a shock. Otherwise, to return to planet Earth, check out the Henley, Vintage, Lone and Mereville collections.
Lastly, for now, go to www.uniquefabrics.com, click on international collections and view the Andrew Martin collection which, I agree is innovative and inspirational and, I would add, sophisticated. Similarly, I agree the Chivasso collection is lively and vibrant and, I would add, chicly continental.
But I would very much like your opinion on these or any other of the above fabrics, because, after all, yours is the opinion that counts. Why not email your opinion to me at dernier.cri@xtra.co.nz. to start communicating.
